ggzilla Posted June 16, 2008 Report Share Posted June 16, 2008 14 psi is needed for a 190 degree thermostat. If you go with a 180 degree thermo, you can use a 7 pound cap, which has two benefits: - less pinging/more advance/more power - less stress on the cooling system Quote Link to comment
fiveNdime Posted June 16, 2008 Report Share Posted June 16, 2008 I had to run a slightly higher cap then 14 with a 190 with my 2.2 cause it always puked out a little water after reaching operation temp. By no means was it overheating so I just opted for a little heavier cap which solved the problem and have been driving it ever since. Quote Link to comment
