metalmonkey47
one question i have is what is the difference between the 2+2 and the regular 280z? the only difference i have seen is the quarter window. can y'all elaborate for me? 2+2 was a family version kinda... back seat so the body was a little longer IIRC. stillachevyguy
i have talked to the guy,got some pictures. nothing bad. the door by the handle is wrinkled like some big fat dude leaned on it. and a little damage behind the door. i think i may have done enough body work that i may be able to make it look straight Quote Link to comment
ArchetypeDatsun
I think it's nice just needs a few things to look even better but can't go wrong for $900 me myself I don't like 2+2's but if you got kids a 2+2 would be the way to go. Put some 240z bumpers front and back lower it and nice air dam! Quote Link to comment
stillachevyguy
i'd like to do the air dam and flare the fenders. those things look rediculously cool with fat fenders imo Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
280Z - long hood, short car 280Z 2+2 - long car Quote Link to comment
Ratty260z
The 2+2 is 12 inches longer and 3 inches wider in the rear, The rear quarters are noticeably wider when you've owned and seen both. From the front seats back is basically all different and the interior can be hard to find, doors are also longer and have a handle for the rear passengers to open the door. 2+2's with some ZG flares look amazing lowered. A lot of people think the 2+2 is a heavy pig but they're barely heavier then the coupe, the JDM 2+2 is actually lighter then the USDM coupe. Building the straight six is a great option and they sound great, strokers are pretty expensive but a well built F54 block P90 head combo really screams with some higher compression and a good set of carbs and a Cam. stillachevyguy
looking at the drivers seat placement makes it look a whole lot longer. i took a stroll through the local junkyard yesterday, and there are absolutely no datsuns or nissans. there was 2 300zx's,but that was it :( Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Go to Pick-n-Pull. Every one I've been to (Oregon, Washington, Nevada and California) had a few Datsuns. Quote Link to comment
stillachevyguy
pick and pull is evil :( Quote Link to comment
DatWifey
That Redding yard had a pretty nice little goldmine from an early 70's 510 goon to a 2-door 810, and a few others sprinkled about when we stopped through last Christmas. Fuck whether they're evil or not, save a Datto, salvage parts that you can get your hands on to keep another on the road. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, they sell engines for $180, putting other wreckers out of business. Evil, evil, evil. So why don't I go to other wrecking yards? Oh, that's right, they don't have any Datsuns. Quote Link to comment
