Bambino
need help on fixing my 620.. not sure what's the problem, well I think it's the carb but not sure, I get spark, gas goes to the carb, it doesn't start, besides the fact of it starting up one time every morning.. I put new spark plugs, new distributor cap, and nothing, I looked to see the carburetor fuel level, and it showing like an 3/8s to being full... and it's leaking gas somewhere around the carb Quote Link to comment
Hermistonkilla
Rebuild the carb and know for sure if that's it or not!! Or........ Check the floats first so you don't waste money if it could be a simple fix Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
I'll be down in Astoria this weekend. I could come by Long Beach and look at it. What kind of leaking around the top of the carb? On a stock carb, only leak would affect power valve (not related to starting) or inlet valve, in which case the fuel bowl will be full. Do you mean there is some wetness there? Or gas pouring out? Bambino
yes decided to pull the float out.. it's running now, but seems like a lol less power makes different noise, and a lot of smoke is coming out of the exhaust Quote Link to comment

I can't tell where it is coming from exactly, but every time I start it I take a look and gas is around the carb, and yeah that be awesome if you can come by. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Pulling the float out would make it flood constantly since the bowl, which is supposed to be around 5/8th full, simply overflows. It'd be very smoky and low power since there's nothing to stop fuel from going in when the bowl is full, plus at idle it's be pouring out the top. Quote Link to comment
