datsunaholic Posted October 11, 2012 Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 They're switches, not sensors. All will have at least one- the reverse light switch. Some have various other switches. Usually top gear switch, 3rd gear, 1st gear, or neutral. Neutral switches are pretty rare on manuals, but I suppose they may exist. The switches other than the reverse switch are almost always used to control the emissions system, either the dual-points on 70-73 vehicles or the EGR on 74+ vehicles, but there are other things they'll control (BCDD, vacuum cut, etc) Quote Link to comment
