A stock open chamber U67 head will give a compression of 7.85 when used on an L16, but if you have 1mm milled off by a machine shop, to 'true it up' this will decrease the chamber by 5.4cc and raise the compression back up to 8.54

The U-67 is a good choice. It has larger intake AND exhaust valves than the 210 and larger ports as it was intended for use on the L20B. It will also have the L20B cam which is almost identical to the SSS cam used on the 219 competition head. Square exhaust ports that match the L16 manifold too.

$50 for head and $50 for milling plus shipping... nice up-grade for an L16. Btw the L head weighs less than 50 lbs.
