JoeR
I am going to be replacing the front ball joints on my truck and also the bushings on the anti-roll bar and the anti roll bar link bushings. Do the link bushings need to be replaced while the suspension is not under load, i.e. when the truck is on jackstands? I know the ball joints need to replaced this way but am not sure about the link bushings. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
poor-mans-720
Nope. Can change them either on the ground or jack stands. Get a BFH for the ball joints. Will make it easier to change em. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
A sway bar is only ever load when the opposing tires are at different heights to the frame, such as uneven ground, or when the body rolls... If doing it on the ground, make sure to do it on level ground. Quote Link to comment

poor-mans-720
Search for a thread on how to take the ball joints off. They are taper fit so they might be hard to get out. My advice is hit the piece that the ball joint is in, with the hammer. Hit right next to the ball joint all over, but on the piece that it is in. Quote Link to comment
JoeR
10-4 on the BFH. I've got a 5 pound sledge that should do the trick. Quote Link to comment
Alec 720
I have a 4x4 Datsun 720 with the anti-roll bar but my 2wd Datsun 720 doesn't have the tabs and all for anti-roll bars. So pics would be nice Quote Link to comment
