vg30 not charging

Whats up fellas, I have a vg30 swap in my 2 door and its not charging the altenator is good. can anyone tell me the correct wireing...

That's a common problem.

 

Alternator has four connections:

A - to starter cable via fusible link

E (case ground) - to engine block bare metal or to NEG battery cable

S - To IGN switched wire

L - To dash Lamp

what color wires go where? i know the ground and power wire but for the s and l

When you turn the key to ON does the red charge light come on???

The owner's manual says to look for the CHG lamp to light up before you start the engine. Because it won't charge if the Lamp is not working.

 

The Lamp wire is the Yellow wire in the original 510 underhood harness that plugged into the voltage regulator. Unplug the regulator, the connect a wire from the L-terminal to the Yellow wire.

 

For the S-terminal, you can simply run a wire straight to the A terminal. It does not need to be switched IGN, just needs to be 12V.
