253datsun Posted June 21, 2012 Report Share Posted June 21, 2012 So here's what it does... I start my car and none of the gauges will work... I rev it up and the charge light comes on... I have no blinkers inside or out... But emergency flashers work... Temp and gas gauges come up a little once you rev it and the charge light comes on.... And I noticed today that at least 1 of the fuses gets hot enough to burn me lol but it hasn't popped... I ordered a Haynes for it I'm just looking for some help... I can pay someone if they wanna come give me a hand one day.... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted June 21, 2012 Report Share Posted June 21, 2012 The hot fuse is caused by resistance just like your toaster. Poor contact is doing this. Sandpaper the contacts where they grip the fuse. Better clean all of them. This ... might... solve your charge problems. Quote Link to comment

Still though the wipers don't turn off... My Haynes got here today do I will check grounds and stuff... Also looks like I have front main seal leak....:-( Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted June 23, 2012 Report Share Posted June 23, 2012 I don't think the front main can leak .... or at least it doesn't matter. Do you mean the crank pulley seal is leaking? On the timing cover behind the pulley? Quote Link to comment
