DISLEXICDIME Posted June 11, 2012 Report Share Posted June 11, 2012 o my sr trans in my dime is leaking oil through the shifter in to the car . first thought was i over filled it so i popped the fill plug and it was just a little to full but now it is still coming out the whole . did i put the shifter bushing together in the right order? am i missing any pieces. 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla Posted June 11, 2012 Report Share Posted June 11, 2012 I dunno anything about late Nissan shifters but if it's anything like an Infiniti unit, make sure your transmission breather is not crushed or blocked. That's a common reason why it spits out a little oil. Quote Link to comment
yello620 Posted June 11, 2012 Report Share Posted June 11, 2012 Mike, i had the same issue with the C case trans behind the VG in my 620. The boot that goes from the shifter to the trans was ripped too. I went Nissan to get a new boot(cheap too) and Nissan actually called that boot an oil seal. Installed new boot and mine doesnt leak anymore. Quote Link to comment
