RudyRivera
I know this is probably a bad question, but how many bolts hold the frontclip on? And where are they located? I'm. Finally out of school and ready to work on my 73 so I figured takeing the fron.t clip off would give me best access the the goodies. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Spot welds, not bolts... After removing the radiator it is easy to get to anything in the bay of a datsun. Quote Link to comment
RudyRivera
that's a shame, thought it would be like my chevy. Oh well. Thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
What's your reason for removing the front clip? If you drill out the spot welds, you could easily bolt it all back together. Quote Link to comment
RudyRivera
Thanks ill keep that in mind. Just wanted some better all around access to the engine without having to lean over as much. Shouldn't pose much of a problem though. Quote Link to comment
pharouh
I had a flip front end on a 620 years ago. It can be done. it makes it easier to work on some things, but harder on others. I also wondered what would happen if you were in a fairly bad accident. There's no front end structure anymore. Quote Link to comment
