510 tachometer lights wanted!

im looking for 2 lights that go behind the back of the 510 original tach!

www.superbrightleds.com why not upgrade the whole cluster to LED? I think it cost me about $16 to do the speedo and tach in my 620. Very happy w/ the results. And you can pick any color you want :D

 

I chose blue, cuz that's what color my stereo lighting is.

I used the 2 bulb socket/harness that lights the turn signal assemblies.

The stock tachometer uses standard light bulbs, you can get them at any auto parts store.

I used superbrightleds.com also. I spent around 21 bucks shipped for a bunch of those little wedge based LEDS. Well worth every penny.

Actually no. It looks hella bright in that pic but that was close up. It was just right to see. My stereo was more bright than that. Had about the same light as a Tom Tom one xl in night mode... I could see it but it wasn't annoying or to much.

 

Fyi, I got blue leds and didn't remove the green plastic covers on the cluster, it came out like a black light. Worked alright I suppose as that orange needle lit up like that and I could use peripheral vision to see how fast I was going...

No glare, the level of light is perfect.
