bryant2482 Posted May 7, 2012 Report Share Posted May 7, 2012 so i dropped in a new 5 speed over the weekend. i pulled apart my old fs5w71b to see why my 5th gear and speedo stopped working. turns out that the nut on the tail shaft had a broken locking tab and came loose. now im not sure if it broke from age and stress or when i had it rebuilt the guys at the tranny shop broke it Quote Link to comment
