poor-mans-720
Okay so I did a personal build of ball joint spacers. Check out the thread in the 720 section. Well here is the write up for the installation. Tools needed. -12mm wrench -1/2'' wrench -M8x1.25x50mm bolts (4) -a jack and some blocks of wood, or two jacks loosen lug nuts while truck is on the ground, do not remove just yet. This prevents rocking the truck while one the jack and potentially leading to injury. Jack up front corner of truck, by the frame, not the lower control arm. Remove the lug nuts, and remove the tire. That is my new puppy in the pic stealing my bag of bolts. this is a pic of the upper ball joint. Place blocks or second jack under the lower control arm. And lower first jack to relieve pressure of the bolts holding the upper ball joint on. Take 12mm and loosen 4 bolts holding on the ball joint. Once bolts are removed, push up on upper control arm to get it out of the way. ball joint is easily accessible. Place ball joint spacer on top of ball joint, machined lip down, it fits on the ball joint better. If you look down the large center hole, one side has a bevel lip on it. allows to to sit tightly on the ball joint. Work ball joint and spacer back under the upper control arm, put new bolts in and tighten. Helps to lower first jack down to relieve more pressure off of the bolts. It puts the weight on the blocks, or second jack under the lower control arm and pushes the spindle up into the upper control arm. Replace your tire and tighten lug nuts by hand. Raise first jack, remove second jack or blocks used earlier, lower truck down. TIGHTEN lug nuts. Tighten in a star pattern for 5 lug, or a modified 6 point star. This tightens the rim to the hub in an even manner. Preventing it from being crooked or cock-eyed which could lead to vibration or busting lug nuts off while driving. Rinse and reapeat for other side.... This is the ball joint with out a spacer installed This is the ball joint spacer installed, notice the corrected angle of the ball joint. Minimizing wear on all the front suspension. Reap the rewards of a beautiful ball joint spacer installation. Note the extra space in the bump stop area. It helps give you extra room for lift and prevents the control arm from slamming against the frame jarring your teeth out of your head. 1 Quote Link to comment

poor-mans-720
I noticed today, that I had to adjust the toe on my truck after the ball joint spacers. I know that that was a bit bad before, I think it just made it worst. Took minutes to adjust. So if yall have the same issue let me know. I'll write how to adjust it. Quote Link to comment
