yiannit280z
SO my dad s had the car for about 25 years and 2 years ago he gave the Z to me. I had started doing little minor fixes to get it all working perfectly again. Then i decided it was time to pull it apart and paint it. what i thought to be a year long side project turned into 2 years and counting. Heres some pics in relatively the order ive worked in. when i first started The first day i decided to start doing bodywork what looked like a clean fender ended up finding a nice bit of rust that needed patching rocker needed some help as well caused by a leak in the hatch somewhere patched the fender(did ok for my first time but it still rough) then it looked like this until i decided to ditch the side markers also ditched the molding that came with the car(stripe was just to cover up the bare metal, its ugly i know) got the 240z wheel to work with the 280z hornpad then i POR15 coated the rust that was on the inner fenders now they look like this after a few coats of spray on rubberized under coating And these are the last pics since ive worked on it last wednesday oh and inbetween all this i used glass stain spray to do this Thought it looked pretty cool ive done some more to it i just dont have pics but ill take some and keep you guys up to speed Quote Link to comment
troyt
Lucky you, that's one nice Z your dad gave you! Make sure you treat it as nice as he obviously did  Fix the rust, keep the electrical connections clean, and go pick up girls with a cool '70s sports car!. Then go add a turbo, lower it, flare it, big brake kit, coil-overs, etc, etc, etc... 1 Quote Link to comment
