This write up will cover installing the DZ-Start Module push button start kit into your 320.

it is also applicable to other 3 wire Datsun ignition systems.

DZ Start thread. DZ Start usual install step by step. (good for more detailed reference if needed)

The DZ kit is plug and play for all 5 wire Datsun ignitions

but with a little bit of work it can be just as easy to instal in a 3 wire ignition Datsun

with the DZ kit there are only four required connections to your cars harness.

Purple wire - goes to the neg. side of the coil

Brown wire - goes to the switchable 12V side of the brake switch

IMPORTANT NOTE: the 320 I did the initial install on had the brake witch on keyed power.

this means the brake lights only came on when the key was on.

with the DZ start you need your brake switch wired to constant power.

so check your brake lights, if they are not wired with a constant 12V they need to be.

Black wire - ground

and the 6 pin 5 wire connector for the ignition wiring.

which is normally plug and play but is a little different for the 3 wire ignitions.

easily remedied tho.

I highly recommend you get a 6 prong plug and pin it with the 320 wiring so the 320 harness plugs right into the DZ harness.

If you just stick blade plugs on the plug connectors without pinning them into a connector they are very liable to touch!

that about covers it.

pretty much everything is about the same as usual

except for the ignition switch stuff and the brake switch stuff.
