flatcat19
Without proof of reliability-it's not worth an insane amount. Get some numbers. See where that leads you. How much is he selling it for? Something is only worth what someone else will pay for it. Quote Link to comment
wagon13
he said $700 and i told him i couldnt do that he said $500 and again i told him couldnt so he said make him an offer, the thing is i would fix this car but have no clue where to find body parts, i have access to a 69 corolla wagon but that will cost some money not a whole lot but im a ratsun guy on a budget so i have to be a cheap bastard  but if i could get a good guess what price i should pay then i could get it and start a project. the engine runs fine but car is messed up Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I'd spend $500 on a 74 Corolla with a 2tg. I would love to have that car. There are more of them around than you think. Pull the trigger-join a Corolla forum, and let the hunt begin! Quote Link to comment
datsunrides
$500 for a TE28 with a 2TG is a steal, if it runs. The fenders and such are standard Corolla stuff, so not too hard to find. The big issue would be if the motor needs help. Parts are not easy to find and not cheap either. Worse case you could part it and make a good profit from the parts. Mark Quote Link to comment
wagon13
just went back up there to look at it closer and it is beat to shit, and now he says motor ran in early 90's ,sat on his property where it flooded but flood line only made it above oil pan (only oil pan  !!) oh how i wish i didnt have automotive attention disorder! well with all that said i might give him a couple hundred at the most shit i dont know....... what you guys think do it and swap into 69 or say F it and find another datsun? OkieRA29
Take it from a toyota guy, 2TGs are the bomb!!!! Great score! You should easily make your money back in the parts off the car alone. Get the engine running and slap it in that 'rolla. Good Luck! Quote Link to comment
