Weber 32/36 throttle shaft wobble

Lockleaf

Recommended Posts

I don't know if any of you guys have this problem, but my weber has some age on it and started acting up recently. My main throttle shaft, to which the throttle cable attaches, now does more than rotate. It pulls/wobbles toward the secondary barrel. This has the incredibly annoying effect of causing the secondary linkage to bind up and never open. My carb runs as a single barrel no matter what because of this problem. Likely it is also allowing a bit of an air leak in my carb. There is however, a very simple repair that I was recently shown.

The carb is basically made for these to slip right in and it completely supports the shaft and improves throttle rotation ability while removing wobble. Just thought I would share. I am ordering these soon. They seem to be pretty simple to install.
