Should I remove the smog liners in the ex ports of the head?(round port) Planning on a header when I have the cash$$ I do not care about DEQ crap....want it to RUN!! Thanks!!!! I doubt it will gain anything for the bother, won't hurt to try. Under the liners there are 'bumps' on the port wall to keep the steel liner positioned out and away so that it not be cooled by contact with it. Once removed these are easy enough to grind off.
