datzenmike Posted February 14, 2012 Report Share Posted February 14, 2012 For best results measure the bore for taper, oval or just plain worn out. The piston to bore clearance on the L20B is 0.001" to 0.0018" and that's not very much. Additionally Nissan had 3 or 4 'grades' of bore and piston sizes to allow for mass production. For best long life results, and seeing as how you are buying new pistons anyway... get a slight oversize and have your block over bored to match them. This will assure you a proper piston to bore clearance and good compression. Link to comment
