josh817
As the title says... My driers side door handle was tight when I was getting my truck together. I greased the latch thing in the door jam, and it works lovely. The passenger side though... not so lucky! The handle is verrrryyy tight and I worry about the outside handle. When I was going in and out of the truck a lot on the side, all the tugging and yanking eventually broke off the swing arm on the handle. I replaced the handle and I try not to use it until I can figure out how to resolve the problem. Does the latch in the door jam need to be adjusted outward or something? It got tighter/worse when I put in my door seals. Quote Link to comment
Shagy
if its likethe 510's there is a jam nut that can be adjusted. it's the engagment point for the rod and latch. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Try closing the latching mech while the door is open then operate the outside handle and see if its tight or easy. That will tell you where to start looking. If it pops open easy then some playing (adjusting) in the door jam will be necessary. Quote Link to comment
josh817
I will have to figure out how to do that. Just need to sit down and look at it. Thanks for the guidance. Quote Link to comment
