Check that out... looks straight. Not a lot of those around. L24, fuel injected, 3-speed auto. L-series fuel injection is easy to fix.

I know exactly what is wrong with the car (has nothing to do with an air leak). My '77 Z had the same problem (amongst its many problems). The temperature switch (not the gauge sender) has failed. It will start and run cold, but then flood because the cold start valve remains open.
