Yes, that's correct... the one on the left is the new one. Did the solder repair that old float OK? I can't answer that. It appears that one of the floats may have been leaking (gas leaking into the float) when I bought it. The other float, also soldered, was working fine. I don't know how long before I bought the truck that they were soldered. One observation... If you are going to solder your floats, leave a small hole on the top of the float untill last. Do your soldering. Let it cool. Then solder up the small hole on top. One of the floats has a collapsed bottom (It's concave not convex, convex is normal). I can only think that it was convex after being soldered but collapsed as it cooled. Link to comment
