mklotz70
Mike, from what I have taken a look at the VG is larger width wise, but front to back I'm not to sure. The buicks are actually a very small motor. Guys don't harp on him for putting a different motor into it...at least its not a small block:lol: Thanks. I absolutely loved the 3.1 that was in my Lumina Euro!! I'd put one of those in anything! I forget if they had a RWD version. If you're putting a 'stang motor in....take good notes and lots of pics!!! :) Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
5.0 Ford V8 fits easier than the 2.8 V6 -- into a B110 or B210. The 2.8 is a very heavy engine for its size. But if you are getting it free, do it! Quote Link to comment
521Lvr
ditch the 2.8 Not good for parts, power or quality. I worked as a Ford tech for years. Don't waste your time and money. If you want Ford get a 4.0 from an Explorer or Ranger. A buddy of mine put a 3.8 Buick in a 620. It would fly. Was inexpensive. And if he can make it fit and run. Anyone can! If I were going to do it I think a 4.3 Vortec is the way to go. You can get the entire motor, trans, ecu etc. etc. from any and every bone yard across America. they came in s-10 s-15, Blazer/Jimmy, full size trucks and vans. plenty of after market parts too. Too bad I'm not a GM guy or I would do it. Quote Link to comment
