DRIVEN
200-4R is fatter than a 700-R4. Powerglide is the smallest automatic. A T5 would probably be the smallest of all GM transmissions that you'd want to use. There are a couple slightly smaller manuals but they aren't ideal for any use. No matter what, you'll be cutting the tunnel - just a question of how much. Quote Link to comment
Digi7al Trauma
No matter what, you'll be cutting the tunnel - just a question of how much. agreed, even if you were doing a nissan ka24 swap.... youd still have to relocate the shifter.... oh it does help if you POST INFO ABOUT THE VEHICLE ... i see it says you have a 78kc... but is it auto or stick? (the auto has a larger trans tunnel)....what size engine? will you recess the firewall? but, honestly i get a feeling you havent done any actual research on this...what id suggest.... look on line, spend several hours finding dimensions about possible swaps, and the current setup... and ba-da-bing you have your answer http://www.davidcmur...tech/v6-620.htm 30 seconds of searching ... http://community.rat...0-4cyl-v6-swap/ <im starting to think theres some trollin, or someother bs happening Quote Link to comment
EricJB
When I did my V8 Z I used a 700r.I had to beat the shit out of the tunnel with a BFH to make it fit. Good thing it's getting carpet. It was an auto Z to begin with, if that matters.. Quote Link to comment

qwik510
I had a World Class T 5 behind my 215 CI Olds V8 in my old dime. Didn't have to do too much to the trans tunnel to make it fit. Quote Link to comment
