DattoDime70
Why you put a New fuel pump on there????????????????? I still wasn't getting enough fuel the Carb was starving and the filter on top was empty Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
If after market stock type(what is pictured)pump was pumping out alot of fuel its fine. Those filters never fill up. Mine never do. 510 filters or gas tank dont get alot of dirt or rust so they stay cleaner longer. remember if you put a eleltric ignition on this car you need a EI coil. next time this happen feel the coil also. Otherwise you just might mave a bad module. Quote Link to comment
DattoDime70
It had broken from the arm, it was really made cheap. The coil is warm, also this is the second time I replaced it. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Coils are supposed to get warm. Don't replace it unless it is broken. The Datsun factory service manual explains how to test a coil. Quote Link to comment

The car runs fine, It was a fuel delivery problem with the mechanical wasnt enough for the weber, the fuel pump i got on is 2.5-4.5 straight, but it happens one time but on the street cause it ethier floods, i hooked a toggle stsp switch to stop it on the street, and letting it on , ont the freeway its fine. Ima buy a inline 1-6psi regulator. You think it should run good 3 - 3.5 psi? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The stock Datsun mechanical fuel pumps put out more than enough for a Weber. Sounds like your fuel pump was bad. When that happens, either fit a new mechanical pump or a new low-pressure electric pump. Weber DCOE wants 2.5 to 3 lbs, per Redline Weber. Quote Link to comment
