d510addict Posted December 26, 2011 Report Share Posted December 26, 2011 Hey all I am looking for a second hand source of window runner felts for my 521, there are currently no seals of any sorts where the runners are supposed to be and I get really bad drafts and moisture problems when it rains. What are your thoughts on some non Datsun source for the felts? Datsun 510 felt works, I am using it in mine. Datsun roadster felt also works, but it is way more money. The door seals out of a 1985 mazda truck are an exact match as the 521 seals, but I found better seals out of mid 90s mazda SUVs/trucks that I cut that even worked better. Quote Link to comment

wayno Posted December 26, 2011 Report Share Posted December 26, 2011 Just look in all the mazda trucks/SUVs for the type of door seal needed, they are not all the right type. I bought my 510 channel felt at the Canby meet from one of the vendors. Quote Link to comment
d510addict Posted December 26, 2011 Author Report Share Posted December 26, 2011 I just found some that fit just about perfectly from a early 1990's isuzu trooper the kind with the tall narrow windows in the doors. I checked it on the 521 that was at the foster Pick n Pull and it seems to work out great. Quote Link to comment
