Vw rabbit fan switch

I bought the three prong so I can run my fans independent, but now that I've went to wire it.... I can't seem to fund a diagram for the switch.

 

One prong is obviously going to be power/ground with the other two opening up at the certain temp.

 

If I was making it, I'd wire the middle one as hot with the fans on either side. But I'm not german.

Any one know for sure?

 

Fyi the switch I got threads right in to the drain plug on the ebay sr20 swap rad I bought.

My understanding, the 3 pin switch is a dual speed switch. So two outs on it, but at different voltages?

I think you also need a dual stage fan as well...

If thats the case I can just run two relays and change some wiring. Still have two independently run fans

The generic temp for the switch is 95/102C which is 203/216F.

 

There are other temps available, but I dont think OEM. It might be stamped on the switch (like where you put the wrench to tighten it...)

The three prong is activated at different temperatures ....So one starts fan moving when not real hot then the other turns the fan on high at like 190 ...But not sure of temps though . you could test leads by bringing boiling sender ( not submerged ) in a pan of water and find temps.I have it wrote down but ain`t gonna search my garage for it ...sorry.....There must be pinouts on the watercooler forums somewhere.

 

......I think 3 prong were for AC equiped cars
