Dimerforlife13
I built a LZ23 a while back and have finally go it running and broken in. I bought a set of mikuni 44's that came off of a l20 that I want to put on my LZ. Jetting specs: OA Jet Block 220 - Main Air 162.5 - Main 57.5 - Pilot 50 - Pump 41 - Venturi's Specs on my LZ23: Z22 Bottom end KA24e Pistons U67 Head-Lot of port/bowl work, s/s Z valves Custom schnieder reground cam-power from 3200-7500 Header-2 1/2in exhaust Everything was balanced & blueprinted Question is regarding jetting and timing. I was wondering if anyone can give me a heads up on where to start from. I know I'm going to be limited on timing due to my setup and lack of combustion chamber "quench". I have access to a smog dyno, but I need to get it close first. Any advice? Quote Link to comment
69FJWagon
all that stuff sounds good about the same as what Troy ended up with in Lisas 2.2 the only thing I would change is the venturi's 41s are huge and you will end up wit a stumble off idle until your air speed picks up I would run 37s it will increase your air speed off idle and gain some torque as well Timimg start with around 10* base and 32 full advanced if you notice any pooping out of the carbs around the transition (2700-3200rpm)go up on your pilots Quote Link to comment
Dimerforlife13
Well thank you, I'll start looking to for some venturis. Does troy keep any mikuni parts in stock? Thanks again for the advice. -Brett Quote Link to comment
EricJB
I have a set of 44 mikuni's with 34mm venturies I might be interested in trading for your 41's. Might have to trade some jets as well. I will post up the #s when I get a chance. Quote Link to comment
