LilBullit
I need a new carb for my 73' 1200. Everything is pretty stock now, B110. I want to upgrade, current carb needs re-building. Any recommendations?? Quote Link to comment
edp
rebuild the Hitachi or throw a weber 32/36 DGV on it. I think you can buy the adapter plates still pretty easily. Try Pierce Manifolds in CA. Quote Link to comment
LilBullit
Great, thx! Is replacing the carb as opposed to rebuilding it have any advantages? Quote Link to comment
edp
it has the advantage of draining more money out of your wallet :D :D seriously, a weber is a good option but its more money & more time consuming then rebuilding the original carb. Quote Link to comment
king bee66
carbs wear out over time, rebuilding doesnt always mean it will run well afterwards Quote Link to comment
goes2fast
I just finished installing Weber DGEV on my 1200 today, and I'm very impressed. It made a bigger difference than the one on my L20 in my 620. I found mine on Ebay, you can save some money there, just make sure you are getting a real Weber kit from Redline, not a copy. If it doesn't have Weber and made in Spain or Italy cast in the body it's a fake. You will love your weber!:D Good luck. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Good on ya. Between 5000 and 6000 RPM, the stock carburetor does nothing, but the Weber will wake it right up!!! Quote Link to comment
LilBullit
I went with the Weber DGV, made a big difference. Any recommendations on where to find 13" tires?? Quote Link to comment
