herculesinwyoming
I have may 76 620 all tuned up, rebuilt carb, she runs great! I have a hard time not chirping the tires between 1st and 2nd gear. Question is the exhaust is still fairly stinky! It does smell alot better once it is warmed up, but i dont want to be gassing people out in traffic. Most of the emission controll are gone, still has the egr valve, but no air pump or cat converter. Is it normal to be a bit smelly on a cold start, and after sitting for 2 months? I an half tempted to put a cat on the truck just to be nice to people in traffic. When i finally get the truck on the road. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Getting cooler and the choke is on longer. Probably fine. Maybe a chipmunk is hibernating in the muffler or he stored his nuts here....or just change your sox. Quote Link to comment
herculesinwyoming
Ha ha maybe i just need to let it be like it is. The truck used to gas out the whole neighborhood, now its just smell a bit rich till it warms up. Quote Link to comment
