KA24DE Headers

What headers are you KA24DE 510 people running? I assume they'd have to all be modified to fit a 510, but I'm curious if there

are any that just bolt on and require downpipe modification to clear firewall & steering box.

 

The stock header I am running currently, has about maybe 1/8" of clearance from the steering box. I assume that box is going to get mighty hot.

 

It'll do for now but eventually I want to put a header in for more clearance. If I can get away with just a downpipe modification, that would be sweet.

 

Any thoughts? Oics?

I was told by Troy in Fremont CA that one of his customers used Megan headers on his KA 510 without having to modify the headers. I bought a set but I have not put them on. The quality seems to be ok for the price.

I bought the cheap eBay header, looks just like the Megan header, but only $75. Looks and works great. The only mod I had to make was on the lower o2 sensor hole. Anyonr with a grinder could do it

Hey that header even looks pretty :D

 

That lower O2 port looks like it'd fit nice and tight inside my steering box. My fix would be to just remove it entirely and have a plate welded in place by a buddy.

Would those headers work on any KA24de block. it shows 95-98, I want to buy them but I think I have the 91-94 KA24de anyone have any idea if they will fit my motor? Sorry about the thread revival.
