Sealik Posted October 9, 2011 Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 (edited) Was trying to determine why my lights etc (basically everything :D) were not working in my 69 (Non U.S.) 510 4DR Upon further inspection...it seems the 510 cluster and some of the under dash harness was fried...up in smoke...so to speak :lol: I think I can repair the under dash harness, connections to cluster look 'okay'...'most' of the damage is near the connections between the engine bay and under dash harness, near the passenger firewall. Thinking of just extending the "new" under dash wiring to the engine bay....hard wire it in...with no connections. So...my query is...what other year of speedo clusters will work with the 69 harness I have??? Early ones (speedos 68-69) are sweeping....70+ are linear...?...Plug and Play...No Play?... :D It appears someone soldered some extra wires/bulbs to the back.... for...NFG in dash signals. Which possibly contributed to the results... as seen here. And yeah...looking for a least a cluster... :D EDIT Apparently this is a 70 cluster....hmmmmm Either swapped....or a late 69? banzai510(hainz) Posted October 9, 2011 Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 Broyon is a expert on these ask him Soemone told me there are inseries tack and parrallel SSS ones so could have been hooked uip wrong and melted soem wires I dont think 68-69 dash will work with early harness. My 69 had whole harness swapped out for the later 70s style Quote Link to comment
