goonfan
The PO must have broke the fuel sending unit because one terminal is a bolt that's been expoxy'd. So I'm SOL can I swap one out of maybe a 240Z or B210? Maybe a 710 with an carbed L20? Looking for something I can fix this weekend. No fuel gauge wouldn't be too big a deal expect my odometer stopped working too, lol. Quote Link to comment
D52E
Sorry to revive an old thread. Were you able to find a substitute part? I purchased a 240Z part number 25060-E4100. Resistance is 10 Ohms full and 90 Ohms empty. Rod length is about 10.5" from bend to bend. O-ring size appears to match 510 part Indexing tab on sender appears to match 510 tank I have not been able to confirm if this part will work. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Just bend the arm to suit. As long as empty means empty and the arm is free to swing you're good. Quote Link to comment
D52E
Some progress - (I still have not confirmed this will work but it appears feasible). I modified the fuel sending unit by removing the float and bending wire to match length of the 510 part. Quote Link to comment
