fuzzhead_smurf
I have access to all the old Datsun wiring diagrams through school, and they have helped me out so far, but in all of the diagrams, one thing is missing: wiring to the carburetor. For some reason, I can't find those wires anywhere in a diagram. I want to use the same wires from the old carb on my new one, but I don't know where those wires come from. I'm under the assumption that the "hot" wire is not connected to the fuse box because before I fixed a short, no fuses blew - the wire just starting burning and I'm worried it may have affected nearby wires. I want to be sure to hook my new carb up right, so if someone can tell me where a blue wire, a black and green wire, and a black and white wire originate I'd be thankful. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The idle cut and the choke heater wires come over from the driver's fender near the coil. They are bundled with the distributor wires. Usually BLUE for the choke and RED for the idle cut solenoid. I'll check when I get home. Quote Link to comment
