atkinson40
4 speed manual on the 620. Book says 3.4 pints. Is this correct??? Last time I filled it until it ran out the filler hole. No wonder I had fluid coming out everywhere. -K Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
You had fluid coming out everywhere because your seals are bad. Replace them then fill up to the threads in the filler plug. Quote Link to comment

Truck up in front makes oil run to back of tranny and filling it to hole threads will be too much. Also there looks like a lot more space than 3.4 pints in the bottom of the pan to the hole, but I guess the gears could be occupying some of the space. -K Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
2 liters sounds right (3.5 us pints). Stick it in, leave plug out and lower truck. If it spills out, (into suitable catch container) you're good to go, jack up and install plug. If not jack up and add more until it does. Quote Link to comment
SR20-620
make sure the truck is level, you said you had it up on front jacks only? put a level on your bed rail and jack it up on both ends to get clearance for you underneath and to make sure its level. ;) Quote Link to comment
