'70 521 L16
the only think i need to start making progress on my truck again is a shortened transmission mount. unfortunately, i quit my job and have had trouble finding a new one. now i'm not complaining or anything but i thought maybe i could trade some parts i have for one since i don't have a welder and i can't find anyone who will do it for me free. i have an l16 block, unknown head (can't find casting marks but needs valve stem seals), 200mm flywheel, stock 521 transmission, and the front half of the driveshaft. the engine ran when pulled. started right up every time. it smoked but the carb way dialed waaay too rich. you can have whatever you want if you want to pay shipping. it's worth a shot right? '70 521 L16
l20. it's all in and everything but the transmission is basically resting on the crossmember. :( Link to comment
tdaaj
Use a piece of 3" angle iron, bolt straight to cross member and bolt you rubber mount to it, its the right length. Link to comment

Unless you have swapped the front case to an L series that transmission isn't going to sit on the rear mount properly. L tranny left. This is how the 720 tranny will look when installed... right.
