Trophy24
Hi guys, I have read alot of threads about creating your own coilover shocks and have a specific question for those who have done this. The lower bushing where the shock bolts on to the rear suspension seems to be the place where the weight of the car will be concentrated with this set up. Has anyone had any issues with wear on this bushing? They are not designed to carry the weight of the car in their original design. I am concerned that they will wear out when I do this. Thanks for the help! Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
QA1 makes a poly bushing coil over shock. These are designed to carry the load of the vehicle. I do agree that the standard shock bushing was not designed to have a constant load on it. Maybe a poly bushing could replace the rubber one if you are concerned about longer life.
