1976 620 tank

Recommended Posts

Just bought a 76 620 last week and I know that the gas in the tank has been in it for over 5 years so I should probably pull the tank and at least try cleaning it before I try to fire the truck up. I am expecting some rust in the tank, but if it gets bad I would rather replace it than try to fix it. I assume that the gas tanks on these trucks are pretty standard but does anyone know what years are interchangeable? Thank you in advance.

The tanks on 72.5-77 620s attatch to the bed while 78&79 attatch to the frame. I can't say for sure that the tank itself is different, but I would be looking for the early trucks if I were you just to be sure.

I recently parted out a 77 and the tank is still on the bed. Let me know if you do need one, and I will check it out.

A more specific location than United States will probably make it easier to

get used parts here on Ratsun.

Not sure about the'78 attached to the frame. I have (had) a 78 and it had no strut for bolting it to the frame like the '79s. Maybe Datsunaholic can iluminate?

Hey Trash, glad to see you came aboard, thanks again for the parts. If you have this Sunday off you should come to Blue Lake Park and check out the Datsun meet, there will be a lot of cool peeps and cool Dattos. Check the events thread for more info... hope to see you there!
