It is a tough spot to see. Is your carb off the car? If so, take the top cover off and put fuel in the bowl to verify it is leaking by the power valve. This diagram may help you describe more accurately where it is leaking http://www.carburetion.com/diags/3236DGVDiaginfo.asp Marc in Indy Datsun 610 Racecar Quote Link to comment

lil89ram50
do you guys think its the diaphragm inside? Quote Link to comment
Sealik
You lost me....you want a manual choke...but it's an electric. Hook the power up to it? Nothing wrong with the 'electric'....DGEV You just bought this carb????? 38 or 32/36? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Adjust the choke to close when it is cold. Then connect it to 12V IGN so it will warm up and open. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
For the leak, tighten or replace the accelerator pump diaphragm. A new diaphragm comes in the $20 rebuild kit: Quote Link to comment
lil89ram50
Yes i just bought this carb, i got it used. its in good condition and i got it at a good price thanks ggzilla! As far as the choke part, i'd like to have a manual choke, the winters here are not great. Id like to control it myself. I had a 38/38 electric choke before and i wasnt too happy with it. That is good... :) Gets pretty cold here in the winter also...last year was a warm one though....only -32 C.. :D Never had any issues with the electric choke....can be dialed into various start up 'positions'...
