So my 68 521 is torn down, reconditioning the suspension and steering, and instaling Disc Brake modification, and im looking at the 520-521 parts list book, and I see on the first pages is a list of the car numbers, these numbers are probably for USA & CANADA only..

1965 just 4,603 L520's produced

1966 14,396 L520's produced

1967 140,999 L520's produced

1968 38,554 L521's produced

1969 141,446 521's produced

1970 at least 170,000 521's produced,

I went out and looked at my 68 521 and it is number 985... I was so pleased, one of the first 1,000 521's to roll off of the assembly line.

My 71 is number 355,828

354,483 trucks after my 68 rolled off of the line.
