phegerle
Looking to have my j13 rebuilt in the San Diego area. Anybody know who can do the work? I am finding out that parts are pretty hard to find. Thinking of doing the l16 swap but can't seem to find a decent one in my area and am getting a bit impatient - want to get the truck on the road. king bee66
keep in mind a used running l motor is far superior to a rebuilt j Quote Link to comment
nismo dr
from what I've read, I don't think its a bolt in swap, iirc you have to weld in the mount perches? not sure tho Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The L16 swap Never heard of this as in "the swap" -- it is an uncommon swap. When Datsun fitted the L16 to the pickup they changed the front end. Still, some guys have done it. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Timing the J13 is like most any other engine ... nothing special. Ditto for a rebuild. Quote Link to comment
