H5WAGON Posted July 5, 2011 Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 Ok so I had this exhaust leak bugging me on my no tail pipe having,(ends at muffler)scrap exhaust I have running. At idle its ticking at the flange gasket...sounds like crap. So I take it apart. Tapped out all the old crap from the metal pieces, it fell right off. I have one in will call at NAPA and a couple guys on here offered one.....I was busy doing this when I got your message joey...:D Its working great, almost want to see how long it will last....:P Hope everyone had a safe 4th..!! H5WAGON Posted July 5, 2011 Author Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 Now that I have the muffler strapped up so its not shaking around it might last a bit.......It worked its self loose on that one side that was leaking....then burnt thru. Just last a few weeks until I get new exhaust...:D Quote Link to comment
Hardwyre Posted July 5, 2011 Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 How hot does the muffler and such get? Silicone cooking/cookie sheets usually can stand around 500 degrees. Might make a nice gasket on the fly. Quote Link to comment
