Push to Start, need advice

i gotta change out my whole ignition colum and switch. and prices for a new switch and a push to start button are the same.

has anyone done this? i know ill have to make switches for fuel pump, radio, etc. but some helpful hints would be nice.

BUT...

are you sure it's your ignition switch that is causing your problem?

Loose wire on the starter? Bad starter? Battery cables?

well i use a very strange key. its about 3-4inches and at the end is a flat head to bypass the lock. so everything works, i just would like to have a key or push to start.

but it seems like i wanna buy that button. would look alot better than a key. and im tryin to go as much like a P-40 warhawk. hhaha.
