Willvis
I really appreciate all the forums you guys have. I have had many datsuns throughout the years( mostly trucks ) I got my z car in a trade and I love it!!!!! When I got the car it has a vibration at 2-3000 rpm, the guy told me it was the clutch (which slips a little bit), but someone else told me it could be a mount for the tranny what do you guys think???? P.S. Thank you datzenmike for telling me about this forum!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
nismopu
WELCOME! There's only a few of us on this forum so it always excites me to see new posts in this section. Far as the vibration goes, yes I would check the tranny mount first. peace. Quote Link to comment
V8Dat
If it is definatly rpm relates not speed related than ye you are on the right track. Check the tranny mount. Th diff mounts on these things goes bad too. But not vibration related, you'll just get a big clunk in the back when you take off. Quote Link to comment
Willvis
Thanks I will take a look at it tomorrow. If the tranny mount is bad does any one know where I could find another one? Thanks Willvis Quote Link to comment

burkeys
Quick test... Does the vibration occure when you are stopped and in neutral and just holding the engine at the problematic RPM? If so...does the noise change when you press in the cluch pedal? If the noise is quiet when the clutch pedal is down but loud when the clutch pedal is out then you have determined the problem to the clutch related. If you are looking for more info you might check out http://www.zcar.com Good luck. Quote Link to comment
speedgato
Don't overlook the dampener. I had a similar problem and it turned out the dampener was coming apart on me. Oh, and welcome! Quote Link to comment
