I found the same part number on some 280z and the zx masters.

 

Just a wild guess but will the larger brake master reservoirs fit maybe?

I don't think the reservoir is too small I think the piston size/stroke is insufficient. Are you saing that the pN for the 510 and Z cars is the same?

F22C Honda swap

 

From a standing stop the transmission does not want to go in gear w/o pushing the cluth in twice. Once it is rolling the car shifts fine. My guess is the master cylinder is too small for the HOnda slave cylinder

Does sound like trapped air.... ?

 

 

Every master I could find that has the diameter listed are all 5/8" S31zx, D-21, WD-21, FWD Maxima.

 

Get the master for the tranny you have I guess. Seems a simple enough fabrication.
