domn8tr
I know I saw it but now can't find the thread on how to figure it out. I just C.C.d the head( A87) @ 42cc Plus 10 cc in piston = 52cc. The block is an L20b with pistons stamped 1.00. The head measures 4.262 in. tall. Id like to avoid detonation and hopefully use 89 gas. will I need the pricey copper head gasket?? datzenmike
A stock unshaved head is only 4.248" thick. Stock L20B pistons have an 11cc dish. Oversize ones should too. Post a picture of your combustion chamber. 42cc is very close to a closed chamber head. IF, you have an unshaved, closed chamber (41cc) head head with 1mm oversize pistons (with stock 11.36cc dish) you should have a compression of 9.06 Quote Link to comment
