jchristians
I believe the inside is all crusty and rusty...causing clogging in fuel system. I actually just ordered a fuel tank "kit" from POR 15...gonna clean and seal the inside of the tank and make it all nice. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Many times it's the vapor tank (up in the fenderwell on the driver's side on a 521) that is sending all the rust down. I've had a couple rust out and dump the rust in the main tank, even though the main tank was fine. Quote Link to comment
jchristians
Is the vapor tank necessary??...or just an emission type thing and can be removed?? Quote Link to comment
albyneau
Is the vapor tank necessary??...or just an emission type thing and can be removed?? Grandfather to the charcoal canister, it greatest service to humanity was keeping designers busy and employed. On the chalkboard the idea was that it'd provide a cool(er than the engine bay) place for fuel condensation, gravity feeding back to the tank. I took mine out to make room for a toolbox~ keep your eyes peeled on the *How-To* page for what the leftovers were used for! Peace, man~ Quote Link to comment
