610racecar
I sent my front calipers off to be rebuilt. They came back separated from the brackets loose in a box. I need some help figuring out two things: 1. How to tell right from left? Should the bleeder be situated on the top or on the bottom when viewing the caliper from the rear? 2. How the heck do the two springs that come with it fit on the caliper and bracket? Anyone have a picture? My car is a 1973 610, so the brakes are the same as a 510. My manual is for a 1975 610, which has the later style caliper. Searching the forum and online didn't yield a diagram showing exactly how the springs fit. Thanks, Marc in Indy Quote Link to comment
610racecar
Okay, I figured out the springs (they had them mixed up in the bag). So now how to tell right (passenger) from left (driver) sides and if the bleeder is positioned high or low? My guess is high for the bleeder, but I don't want to take it apart later. INDY510
. Looks like the bleeder screw is on top on Mikes 710 struts: Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Bleeder is always at top to let the air bubbles out. Quote Link to comment
