Sinnful
I've seen a lot the guys use the fat mat from ebay, from what I've seen/heard it works pretty good Quote Link to comment
Diesel33g
I've always used Dynamat. Easy and works wonders on steel body cars :) Quote Link to comment
dat_160j_77
Thanks guys. Just a question, would it help if I put more than one layer? Quote Link to comment
RATDAT3
One layer is sufficient---Dynamat is exspensive, but works great. If you have excessive noise, there miight be a reason why, check your rubber mat against the firewall. Quote Link to comment

Bullet_theory
fat mat, dynamat, umm the tar roofing stuff (some old schoolers use it, theres also an aluminum ruber membrane at lowes thats for roofing and around windows, comes in like 12" by 33' for like 14 bucks Quote Link to comment
ppeters914
Another person (not on Ratsun) recently redid a 510 with Lizard Skin Ceramic heat and sound insulation. He said The layers of Lizard Skin are only .040 thick and protect the interior from heat up 500 degrees. It's also paintable and can be color coated as well as being a moisture barrier, unlike the crappy Dynamat that is way expensive and holds water. Seems like pretty good stuff.
