sinner720st
weber dgv 32/36 on an 85 nissan 720 z24 when i first put the weber on my gas pedal felt great, but lately it has been very stiff and kind of notchy feeling... i looked at the throttle lever and its cracking right where it bends up to get bolted to the carb. my lever looks just like the one pictured, only upside down, there is just too much stress on the thin steel part... i was wondering if maybe my hitachi setup would work on the carb, or if there is an even better way... for now i screwed a piece of sheet metal to it to triangulate the lever, that wont last for ever though thanks for any input Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Yes....the 720 Hitachi trunnion will fit on the Weber. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
cable should be a smooth arch . It comes with a sheetmetal cable holder to hold cable. I dont get what the proplem is. Oil the cable up. If your stock set up as a extra spring also use that too Quote Link to comment
sinner720st
thanks for the info fellas. i think the problem is that my pedal goes farther than the carb, so everytime i mash it it wants to pull to hard on the lever, and in a lateral direction rather than circular.... i will get pics later when the lady brings my truck back... people can learn from this Quote Link to comment
